Yes, you do need to sign in to your Microsoft account. To create a Microsoft account, you can use any email address, such as Outlook.com, Yahoo! or Gmail, as the user name.

On its own Microsoft Forms cannot detect cheating. Using AutoProctor with Microsoft Forms you can detect cheating by enabling proctoring in your test settings.
